The Farm Stand Coordinator is a seasonal, hands-on farming and customer service position involving seeding, transplanting, weeding, harvesting and providing customer service at the Red Earth Garden's produce stand.  This position works day to day with farm staff to coordinate harvest and delivery schedules to different markets, including wholesale orders, farmers' market sales, and the TSA share program, and includes assisting with record keeping.  This person will staff the Farm Stand on the Settlement and at the Toledo Farmers' Market, providing knowledgeable and friendly customer service, including sharing information on growing practices and recipes, and answering customer questions about the produce.  Working with farm staff, this position will also assist in harvesting and packing produce and other farm tasks as needed.   


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year experience volunteering or working with a community committee
  • Experience working in positions that require effective communication and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of gardening, greenhouse work, farming or local foods required.
  • Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time.
  • Some familiarity with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with tractor operation and maintenance preferred



  • Direct supervision by the Local Foods Planner/Farm Manager.



  • 25 hours per week
  • Typical work week will be Wednesday Saturday
  • Position starts in mid-May and ends in late October
  • $22,838.40 - $32,676.80
